With Rob Dorgan and Steve Bolia. Meditation can help us to find a “comfort from inside us” but many of us think meditation is for sages, gurus and beings that we perceive as much more spiritually oriented than we are. How do you think those beings you perceive as “enlightened” got there? They developed the one true, all important relationship— the one with the ‘Self”.
We will explore basic techniques for getting started on a meditation practice and how to keep it consistent. If you have tried to meditate and have given up or you have never tried it before——this is a place for you. Come with an open mind as we explore several meditation tools. Some tools you will find useful, others may not speak to you. We will develop a “meditation tool box” to get you going on the ultimate journey to your “Self.”

Join Audrey Causilla and her ensemble, MEKALA for a blissful evening of music and mantra. Audrey will guide you through call and response chanting in community, called kirtan. No experience necessary!
A truly unique musical and meditative experience, kirtan quiets the mind and opens the heart, aligning our innermost Self deeply into the present moment, whether one is singing or just listening or basking in the mantra and sound. Merging Sanskrit and English mantras with melody, flutes and vibrant drumming, Audrey's chants encompass a range of sounds from East to West, blending moments of raga with her own evocative piano harmonies and melodies.
Audrey (on vocals, harmonium, piano) will be joined by Johnny Ruzsa (flutes), and Zach Mechlem (guitars & percussion). Johnny and Zach are world musicians who, with Jim Feist, perform as Mohenjo Daro.
Audrey Causilla weaves her classical pianist background with her love of mantra, world music, and the sound healing of chanting into kirtan, call-and-response devotional chanting. She has toured with Girish and Kristin Luna Ray regionally as well as to Bhaktifest and the Midwest Yoga Conference. Audrey offers chant workshops, and leads kirtans with her ensemble, MEKALA. She also regularly teams up with Annie Bolling at Shine Yoga for an accompanied restorative yoga offering called Mantrasana. Audrey is the Music Director at Center For Spiritual Living Greater Cincinnati, where she plays services and hosts kirtans and other sound healing events, and has taught private piano and coached opera singers for 20 years.www.facebook.com/Mekalamusic/
