How To Start Yoga at Shine Yoga Center

All of the regular classes on our schedule are welcome to "drop-ins." You can pay as you go or purchase a class pass that allows you to pay one time and then come on in for any 5, 10, 25, or 50 classes over the course of 6 months. You can come to class whenever your like and can renew or up your pass at anytime.

Most students prefer to bring their own mat but we have plenty to borrow if you would prefer. Our studio classes are taught by a collective of teachers who work together to keep a full and diverse schedule of classes here at Shine. We do not have office staff so please just check our schedule and then come about 10-15 minutes early to get all settled in for your first class. To save time you can pre-register with our MindBody studio management software. Just click that big red button up there at the top of the screen and follow the prompts to create an account with us. If this feels confusing, don't worry - just come in and we'll get you squared away. Click here for pricing options.

Which Class is Right For Me?

Our Basics/Beginners is a generally a good choice for your first class with us here at Shine. As the name suggests, we work on the basics in this class which is good for those who prefer a basic and balanced yoga practice or who are just beginning. This level will take you through the fundamental practices of yoga which includes: breath & posture work, introductory meditation & contemplation, and relaxation. Students should be able to comfortably get up and down off the ground.

  • Basic/Beginner classes are held on: Mondays from 11 - 12:15, Mondays 7:15 - 8:30 pm, Tuesdays from 6 - 7:15 pm, and Thursdays from 7:30 - 8:45 pm

At times, we also offer a "New Beginner Series" so that students can commit to a series of classes that build on each other to help students feel comfortable and empowered in their yoga practice. Students can sign up for the whole series or can drop in when they can. We are working on setting dates for our next Beginner Series now. Stay tuned for details. Click here to sign up for our studio newsletter and find us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with our special series and events.
