Set to begin in early 2020, our next program is the 300 ryt Yoga Student Immersion & Advancing Yoga Teacher Training Ancient Wisdom • Modern Mojo
Our 200 hour training is offered as a foundational alignment based hatha yoga teacher training. In all cases (200 & 300 ryt) students need at least a year of steady practice and a pre-existing understanding of the postures. There is an expectation that students already have a good relationship with the common postures of modern yoga practice.
The 200 hour program focuses on cultivating a working understanding of functional alignment & movement of the body, introductory teaching skills, alignment principles for yoga postures, and an introduction to the deeper dimensions of yoga which for us include things like meditation, pranayama, yoga philosophy, and incorporating yoga into your everyday lifestyle.
The 300 hour program is a deeper dive into everything that is introduced in the 200 hour program with a larger focus on embodying the concepts that are presented in traditional yoga philosophy. The 300 hour program is offered as an advanced teacher training -AND- as a yoga lifestyle immersion program for students who may not wish to teach yoga. This is an opportunity to deepen one's own understanding of the richness of the yoga tradition in order to cultivate personal practices that bring the aims of yoga (inner harmony, elevated consciousness, and clearer connections & relationships) into one's daily life and teaching practices. Being more fully rooted in the yoga tradition, those who choose to teach are then encouraged to expand their teaching repertoire by learning to encourage more meditative and philosophical concepts into their teaching practices which can bring a greater sense of peace, purpose, and empowerment into the lives of their students.
