Stretch, Release, and Re-Set

This class is designed to support optimal myofasical health and comfort. The myofascial system is made up of your muscles, connective tissues, fascia, and nerves. This class uses a combination of both active and passive stretch techniques, subtle muscle activation, and myofascial "rolling" techniques.

This class is easily accessible to all fitness levels. The focus is on bringing the myofascial system into balance to improve functional capacity. Athletes and those with fitness goals will also benefit for taking time to work on supporting a balanced range of motion, flexibility, and an ability to release tension and cultivate a sense of physical and inner harmony.

More Info About Some of Our New Classes and Teachers

Come Meet Lindsay Schaultz ~ Our New Power Yoga Teacher
I am a 200 RYT and also hold my level I-II reiki certification. I typically teach a power flow yoga class.  This tends to be faster paced while linking movement with breath.  Modifications are always encouraged as needed.  I believe the body is a great source of intuition and will provide much guidance during the practice.  The mental clarity and overall wellbeing I feel from yoga continuously brings me to my mat.  Yoga sparks a feeling of joy and calmness, but most importantly a feeling of connection to myself and others. I believe yoga encompasses more than just a physical practice; it’s a beautiful mind body connection. Yoga reminds us that everything we need is already inside of us.  Yoga helps us to create the subtle shifts that make a big difference on and off the mat.  I often have students check in throughout the practice to take note of what they cultivated. I can’t imagine going through this journey of life without this practice and it’s an honor to bring the blessings of yoga to others.  I truly believe we all are worthy of this practice.

New Classes - Now In Session

Mindful Strength & Stretch

Join Annie Weisbrod on Wednesdays from 11:30 - 12:15

Mindful Strength & Stretch integrates elements of Yoga, Pilates, and full-body strength & flexibility practices. Participants can expect a mindful “Breath-Centered Practice” that synchronizes breath with movement and helps deepen one’s awareness of the body's capabilities and limitations. In addition to full-body attention, we focus on core-strengthening exercises to build stability, improve posture, and enhance overall strength. The class also includes dynamic and static stretches to improve flexibility & range of motion. This class is suitable for all levels, offering modifications to accommodate varying abilities.

Whether you're looking to build strength, increase flexibility, or simply practice and be present with community, this class provides a comprehensive approach to enhancing both physical and mental well-being.

MELT Method - Open Level 1 Class

MELT has been an initial big hit at Shine. Many have enjoyed our intro workshops to get a taste of the method. Moving forward we are looking to schedule a few more intro classes as well as to move into phase two which is to offer on-going open classes. Keep watching for more intro dates. Our first regular open MELT class begins this week and will meet with Naomi on Thursdays from 7:15 - 8:15 pm. You can sign up for these MELT classes just like you have all other open group classes.

MELT Classes will be offered beginning in March

Thursdays 7:15 - 8:15 pm

MELT is a gentle self-care technique that enhances mobility, stability and performance and is clinically proven to reduce chronic pain while improving overall well-being.

This all-levels class will use specialized soft rollers and MELT Hand and Foot Treatment Balls to simulate the results of manual therapy.

Learn to eliminate stuck stress before it accumulates causing chronic aches, pains, and unwanted signs of aging. Reduce inflammation, ease chronic neck and low back strain, improve alignment, enhance athletic performance, and keep your whole body feeling great at any age.

If you have a MELT roller and/or MELT treatment balls, please bring them to class with you.

A limited number of rollers and balls will be available for in-class use for those who do not have their own.
