Mixed Level (1/2) Yoga with IQM™️ Healing​

Mixed levels (L 1 & 2) class using align and flow style with options for students to adapt their practice based on their skill level. At the end of the practice, Patsy will offer a basic energy healing clearing using Integrative Quantum Medicine™️ during savasana. Students will leave feel renewed, refreshed and energized. 

 

IQM combines Traditional Chinese Medicine and Quantum Physics for optimal hands-free energy healing. Patsy will explain the basic concept of IQM, offer some unique techniques for reducing daily stress, and provide sample healing for individuals who want a taste of IQM™️.

TUESDAYS

Beginning Tues. Oct. 1

Sunset Yoga is here to help you burn off tension from the day and then wind down to support a restful evening. Class

Kate's 7:15 - 8:30 pm is shifting to "Sunset Yoga" 

Sunset Yoga is here to help you burn off tension from the day and then wind down to support a restful evening. Class format includes: a mindful centering, gentle posture warm-up. A middle section includes both mindful flow and focused posture work with variations for mixed levels. Class finishes with floor stretches and deep relaxation.

 

Sunset Yoga is a welcoming class for mixed levels. In general, this class follows our Level 2 designation. Students should be able to get up and down from the ground easily and be able to bear weight on hands and arms.

 

 

Level 2 classes are likely to include: standing and balancing poses, twisting poses, moderately paced transitions (like sun salutations), moderate core and strength work (like planks and hip hinge holds), moderate backbends, seated posture work, and postures that do include weight bearing on hands/arms like downward facing dog, plank, & the incorporation of arm balances for those who enjoy them. Variations are offered for those who need them. 

THURSDAYS

 

Kate's 10 - 11 am class is shifting to "Classic Yoga" Level 1/2

 

Classic Yoga is a mixed-level full-spectrum yoga practice which is rooted in classic themes in order to promote optimal well-being for body, mind, heart, and soul. Classic Yoga has a strong focus on mental, emotional, and energetic balance along with the yoga postures that support a healthy body, clear mind, and bright spirit. 

 

Class begins with a short but mindful centering. Meditation and breath work practices may be offered. Movement practice begins with a gentle warm-up. Posture work includes alignment work in a wide variety of mid-level yoga postures and may include some mindfully-paced vinyasa. Gently build strength, flexibility, balance, and agility. Options and variations are offered to meet your needs and goals. Class finishes with calming postures and a sweet relaxation practice to finish.

 

This class is listed as a Mixed Level 1 & 2. Variations are offered for different levels. Students should be able to get up and down from the floor with ease. Posture work is likely to include: standing and lunge postures, balance postures, twists, moderate core and upper body strength work, and moderately paced posture transitions.

We are excited to announce that we are preparing for a 2024-25 200 ryt Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training. Find more information at the "Trainings" tab on our website: www.shineyoga.com.

 

If you are interested in any way, please let us know! Sign up and come into the open house, sign up for our 2024 ryt email newsletter list, and/or drop us a line at  info@shineyoga.com with teacher training as the header. 

 

We offer our open houses as a way for you to meet our teachers and ask any questions you may have.

 

In addition, applicants are also required to schedule an in-person meeting before acceptance into our program. The open houses can serve as these meetings. We ask you to sign and up and register for free so we know who to watch out for on open house day.
