New to Yoga... Or Coming Back to Practice

If you are a new beginner yourself, if you know someone who is, or if you have yoga experience and want to work in methodical way with extra instruction and support know that we have many options for you.

New Beginner & Back To Basics Series

Our next 6-week series which begins Tuesday, January 16th from 4 - 5 pm with Sarah Gardocki. Drop-ins with reservations are welcome. 

This series is created for those looking for an easy and accessible entry or (re)entry to group yoga classes. We'll take our time in introducing and working through all the basics of yoga classes in a calm, casual, and kind manor. This class series is offered for brand new beginners, as well as, more experienced students are also welcome to attend these classes to practice the essential basics of yoga at a gentle and instructional pace.

 

This is a great place to begin your practice or participate when you want to keep your class basic, short, and sweet. Teachers will take a little extra time to teach and explain the yoga postures and healthy alignment principles. Experienced students are welcome to join us for a basic practice.

To Note:

The New Beginner/Back to Basics Series are running as regular classes in a series format which means while they are formatted to build on each other, students can use regular class passes and may drop-in (with online registration) as your personal availability allows.

New Student Specials

 

We have several specials that are exclusive for new students. (See below.) Most Shine students utilize our "class passes" that allow you to come to any class on our regular group class schedule. We sell packages of 5, 10, and 20 which all have a three-month expiration date. (This or the New Student Monthly Unlimited are recommended for the New Beginner Series.) We also offer monthly unlimited contract passes. Click on our "Class Pricing" page for more info on our regular class packages. 

Explorer Pass: 5 classes for $35 (two-week expiration date).

Good for new students and also current students who might like to check out some other classes other than your usuals. One per client. 

 

New Student Monthly Unlimited - $48

All the classes you can take in one month. Includes full access to our on-demand library.

You will only be able to see this pass if you have not attended Shine Yoga Center previously. On the Mindbody App, it should appear under the Pricing section. Select on Classes, then select Group Classes and it should appear as an option to select with the rest of the Group Classes.

From the Shine Yoga Mindbody Page it is under the Online Store tab on the far right corner, then select Series and Memberships, and then select Group Classes. The New Student Monthly Unlimited should appear here if you have not purchased previously from us or attended classes.

Unlike the Regular Monthly Unlimited, this is a one-month only pass. It does not roll-over. If you would like to sign up for our Regular Monthly Unlimited Contract, you will need to purchase that package after your 1-month trial expires. 

Here's how to sign up and pay for classes....

  1. Go to www.shineyoga.com

  2. Click the big red "Sign Up" button at the top of the page.

  3. Shine's MindBody portal will pop up.

  4. Click the "Sign-Up" link next to the class you want to take. Be sure that you are selecting the appropriate in-person or live-stream.

  5. You will next need to sign in to your Shine MindBody account if you have one or create a new one.

  6. If you have practiced with us previously, you will already have an account. Try using your email and password recovery to access your account. If you have trouble, please feel free to send an email to info@shineyoga.com for help. It may take us a day or two to reply.

  7. If you want to purchase a class pass, rather than a single class, don't be alarmed when it says "Book a Single Reservation." Once you click that button, you will have the option to purchase a single class or to purchase a class pass.

  8. If you have not been back to Shine since Covid, you will need to fill out a new waiver. We have them at the studio but you can also download one here and bring it in to the studio.

  9. Teachers arrive to the studio about 15-minutes before class.

  10. We look forward to seeing you in the studio soon.

More About Our Studio & Classes

Most students prefer to bring their own mat but we have plenty to borrow if you would prefer. Our studio classes are taught by a collective of teachers who work together to keep a full and diverse schedule of classes here at Shine. We do not have office staff so please just check our schedule and then come about 10-15 minutes early to get all settled in for your first class.  Just click that big red button up there at the top of the screen and follow the prompts to create an account with us and reserve your spot. If this feels confusing, don't worry - just come in and we'll get you squared away. Click here for full pricing options.  Find our special new student packages listed below. 

We request reservations to help us manage class sizes and unforseen cancellations. If this has been a hinderance for your return to practice, please drop us a line at info@shineyoga.com and we'll help you navigate coming back to classes when you are ready.

The most cost effective way to practice with us is with a class pass. You can use your class pass for any of our regular classes. While you do need a reservation at this time, you can mix and match any classes that you like. You can also drop-in for classes if you aren't ready to commit to a regular practice at this time. Please note that there are different prices for in-person and on-line classes so please make sure you purchase the appropriate pass for your practice plans. These packages are not interchangeable.

Gentle Classes - Good for beginners and those who want a gentle practice.

Sunday 5-6 pm - Restorative Yoga (Relaxing Yoga & Breath Practice)

Monday 7:15 - 8:15 - Unwind (Gentle Floor Work - stretch, breathe, relax)

Thursdays 11:30 - 12:30 - Regenerative (Functional Movement Practice)

Thursdays 4:15 - 5:30 - Gentle Yoga

Beginner & Basics Classes

Tuesdays 4 - 5 - New Beginners & Basics (Series starts 1/16)
